Extracurricular Adventures At Lil Sunflowers
Dr. Yum’s Preschool Food Adventure, an evidence-based interactive curriculum designed to introduce preschoolers to the joy of eating fruits and vegetables. This curriculum was written by a team of experts, including a registered dietitian, early childhood educators, pediatrician Nimali Fernando, MD, MPH, (“Dr. Yum”), and a certified speech-language pathologist specializing in pediatric feeding Melanie Potock, MA, CCC-SLP (“Coach Mel”).
we use custom software that allows you to view your child in the classroom live via a mobile app. Also, our center features an electronic security system allowing only authorized individuals in the building, to keep your child and our staff safe and secure.

Ignite by HatchTM is our dynamic digital learning platform that captivates and engages early learners while seamlessly providing critical academic and child development data to teachers and administrators. Aligned with standards and backed by research, Ignite promotes growth in multiple domains of learning. This fun tech time activity will be added into our preschool classroom as a learning center for all to use!
Kimochi means “feeling” in Japanese. The curriculum is based on research documenting that when instruction in building social, emotional, and behavioral skills is provided at a young age, there is a positive effect on how children problem-solve and interact with their peers later in life. Your child will learn how to recognize and manage emotions, demonstrate caring and concern for others, establish positive relationships, make responsible decisions, and handle challenging situations constructively. We will have fun and practical lessons each week that will teach your child these skills and more!
Each of The Reading Game's six stories is told using just thirty new words. These are broken down into six sets of five words. The student learns to read each set of five words by playing a simple word matching game. Frequent exposure through play hardwires these words into long-term memory. Rote learning is transformed into a fast-paced game with a winner every few seconds. This game will also be in our preschool room and used during the day to help out our kids with reading!
Unlike typical sound books, these books don’t just play sounds—they teach real language, featuring the voices of real kids and their teachers at our partnering schools worldwide, alongside sound & music by the very best in the music industry. This book will be a new center in our preschool classroom for the kids to use with headphones!
